The Company:
A large operator in oil and gas

The Role:
Purpose:
- Provides DCS engineering expertise for offshore and onshore gas production facilities: 4 Treatment Centres with separation, dehydration, compression and liquid treatment, 17 offshore satellites with separation and water treatment facilities

Tasks:
- Responsible for the DCS engineering of all modifications (MSRs) assigned to the jobholder, carried out on the existing facilities by ECD Engineering.
- Provides DCS engineering support to Projects for new developments & revamps / upgrades, by contributing to the design of new DCS architecture.
- Issues scope(s) of work and/or performs conceptual design studies, basic engineering studies, detail engineering, software Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), provides cost-estimates, and planning related to assigned tasks.
- Produces AFC (Approved for Construction) Engineering packages for MSRs under the responsibility of the jobholder. Ensures quality of the packages.
- Contributes to the ECD budget management, by ensuring that the budget of each MSR under the responsibility of the jobholder is managed such that overruns are avoided, and that deviations from the approved budgets are reported in an early stage.
- Responsible for the control and approval of scopes of work, cost estimates, bids and planning submitted by Contractors and/or Consultants.
- Ensures coordination with the DCS support engineer as responsible for the integrity of all DCS systems.
- Participates in DCS related construction works.
- Ensures application of General Specifications & rules, and applicable local legislation, for all aspects relating to design of DCS control and ESD/F&G safety systems.
- Responsible to issue requisition for purchasing, expediting, inspection/functional testing of equipment required for MSRs under the responsibility of the jobholder, in close co-ordination with CPD.
- Participates in root-cause analysis (RCA) and SIL Assessments.
- Maintains knowledge by keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies in safety and process control systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualification: BSc in Instrumentation & Process Control, or equivalent and certification of functional safety engineer.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years control and safety engineering within the Petroleum industry.
- Specific knowledge: Detailed knowledge of DCS Engineering.
- Pro-active with good organisational skills, team spirit, strong communication skills (verbal & written) and service minded
- English language is mandatory, both spoken & written.
- EU residency

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Preferably Experience with any of the following software tools: Triconex MSW; Triconex Tristation v.2 and v.4; Foxboro I/A; Quantum Unity v5; Modicon Modsoft for 984 (pre); Hima elop v4 (pre); Emerson DeltaV v5 and v6 (pre)
