The Company:
Major O & G Company- Temp to Perm role for an excellent company. Pay is DOE and full benefit package offered at no cost for the employee / family is at an added cost.

This is a Houston / Shore Based position there are designated field locations and Contractors’/Vendors’ Depots to travel too - in the Houston area.

The Role:
Position Summary:

Provide technical, hands-on support for the DCS/PLC/Device Testing execution during commissioning and start-up over-site that will also include long term equipment stewardship for Company.

Job Description:

• Monitor and maintain the health of the DCS/PLC and interface sub-systems.

• Maintain hardware/software components.

• Control database back-up provision and Cyber Security for system.

• Carry out and assist with Punch Listing, Commissioning, Start-up and Maintenance.

• Maintain and provide support for modifications to process graphic displays.

• Provide control tuning and software recovery procedures.

• Troubleshoot process control software/hardware.

• Steward Management of Change process for operational and functional DCS/PLC-related procedures.

• Maintain DCS/PLC system hardware/software problem log.

• Ensure the company’s Environmental Health and Safety procedures are adhered.

• Assist in the development of improvements to the DCS/PLC.

• Participate in the planning for perseverance/readiness maintenance for all equipment.

• Responsible for a documented plan to insure knowledge transfer between projects and the Company.

• Candidate should be flexible and assist others to ensure achievement of the company’s goals and interests. Participate in Procedure Reviews and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Primary focus areas are Sub-Sea Controls, Hydraulic, Electrical, Chemical Distribution System, Topside, Marine Controls, and Safety Fire and Gas Detection Shut Down Systems.

• Participate in Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) and handover/acceptance criteria from Project Team to The Company.

• Work within a core team of contractors to safely and efficiently deploy, recover and preserve The Company assets which include testing and maintaining safety devices.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications: (Job Requirements & Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)

• Strong Platform/ FPSO/Subsea operational experience. Prior experience on the job working with DCS / PLC Control Systems role for 5+ years.

• Extensive knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems, with demonstrable practical experience. (Rockwell Control Logic)

• Technology Diploma/Certificate from recognized Institution.

• Operations experience with subsea equipment operations.

• Control/Display Programing Knowledge of Rockwell Control Display Logic.

• Experience with Safety Management Systems, particularly API RP 75.

• Understanding of GoM regulatory environment API RP 14C for testing safety devices.

• Excellent people skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.

• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.

• Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

• Good written and oral communication skills
