The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role will work out of project offices in both Great Yarmouth and London (West).

The Role:
The decommissioning project engineer will be working alongside the Partner decommissioning team within their office in Great Yarmouth to understand and identify options and synergies within the facilities Well P&A, removal and disposal phase. This will cover vessel availability, scheduling and cost synergies which can result in a cost reduction within the overall budget.

Key duties during this phase will include:-
• Act as the client single point of contact within the Partner office on all issues relating to the facilities decommissioning.
• Work alongside the Partner decommissioning team regarding the removal and disposal options for all facilities.
• Review and establish with the decommissioning Project Manager, areas where cost savings and schedule impact synergies can be identified and established.
• Understand and establish the best execution vessel options and availability based on the decommissioning partner's work plan and schedule.
• Review and establish areas of possible facilities re-use in line with the Partner's planning and philosophy.
• Identify and participate in key activities to assess and mitigate technical risk e.g. audits, reviews etc.
• Work with the other members of the project team and other support functions to ensure effective interfacing between all facets of the development.
• Liaise and utilise the corporate engineering support where appropriate
• Provide input to all technical documents relating to the decommissioning programme
• Provide technical input to reviews by internal and external stakeholders
• Assess contractor/vendor technical competence with participation in tender evaluations
• Support development of Project strategies for Execute phase of the project

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in decommissioning projects of offshore facilities
• Experience of working with engineering contractors in a client role
• knowledge and application of decommissioning regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards relating to the offshore oil and gas industry
• Strong personal commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental Performance
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively within an integrated team of client and contractor personnel
• Ability to work proactively with a minimum day to day supervision.
