The Role:
To support the Project HSE Team Lead in achieving outstanding Health, Safety and Environmental performance for the Project (Goal Zero)

Duties will include but not limited to:

•Support/steer/assure sub-project teams on HSE Activities.
•Drive a culture of Goal Zero performance through all aspects of project delivery.
•Interact with contractor management and staff to set clear HSE expectations and influence performance including the application of the Life Saving Rules and Site Stanardisation Guidelines.
•Support internal and contractor HSE reviews in accordance with relevant parts of the sub-projects HSE plans
•Preparing and maintaining the sub-project HSSE & SP Activities Plans and coordinating associated deliverables and activities. The role of HSE Advisor will be to support and guide the Project Team on all aspects of health, occupational safety, industrial hygiene and contractor HSE performance management issues through each stage of the project.

The HSE Advisor will work with and support other Project personnel at all levels, including, Project Management Team, Asset HSE Team, contractors and consultants as required.

The HSE Advisor role will involve both offshore rota work as required where support to Engineering/Decommissioning activities is required as well as supporting activities onshore (disposal yard activities and auditing & also direct support to sub-contractor organisation’s activities)

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

•Maintain HSE overview through all phases of sub-project delivery
•Assist with providing the tools, training and processes to support safe execution of all project activities
•To work in accordance with the company’s and project HSSE & SP Management System.
•Assist with incident Investigation and LFI process
•Assist with Site Standardisation Guideline roadmap
•Remain abreast of legislative requirements; ensuring work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
•Support the delivery Behavioural Safety Initiatives & Campaigns
•Comment and Review of Contractor HSE documentation in line with company and project standards
•Report HSE status to the line and function reporting lines.
•Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
•Assist in generating procedures and standards to maintain and update the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems of the Company.
•Provide HSE training to project and subcontractor personnel as required.
•Assist in audit of the HSE Management System.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•The development of HSE aspects of projects in the oil and gas industry or related industries, e.g. chemical
•Experience of contract evaluation and management, specifically ongoing contractor performance management.
•Knowledge and experience of operational HSE is essential incorporating good knowledge of topsides & sub-sea facilities, pipelines and controls
•Construction Site HSE Management with knowledge Skilled in the application of Microsoft office systems
•Appropriate number of years experience working in projects HSE delivery

Preferred Qualifications and accreditations;
•NEBOSH Certificate
•NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (working towards),
Others below would be an advantage;
•Root Cause Analysis training,
•Auditing qualification,
•Active membership of the appropriate professional body. i.e. IOSH, IIRSM.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:-
•Ability to motivate, to organize, leads and ultimately delivers Project HSE requirement
