The Role:
• Reporting to the GPS Site Manager for the delivery of all site construction deliverables
• Site focal point for all project communications in relation to site construction deliverables
• Lead by example on HSE deliverables including, Audits, STOP, promotion of "Mindsafety" and associated activities.
• Liaising with the appointed Field Engineer to ensure work scopes are executed safely and to the correct technical and quality standards.
• Liaising and consulting with the appointed Field Engineer ensuring all vendor and subcontractor work scopes are executed safely and to the required technical and quality standards.
• Site focal point for engineers during the construction scope development phase.
• Participation in all relevant risk assessments/Hazard ID/OP, constructability and readiness reviews.
• Liaison with construction engineers and planners during the development of level 3 and 4 plans
• Liais with the Construction Coordinator based in the Regent Centre with regard to daily report issues / actions
• Reviewing and developing level 4 plans during construction development
• Ensure site planning meetings 7/28 day, RFI etc are conducted
• Ensure supervision time writes and reports progress accurately against the plan on a weekly basis
• Developing key delivery execution
• Communicating clear objectives and targets
• Input to and update site training matrix records
• Ensure clear interfaces are maintained between asset management and project management
• Provide a key interface between construction engineers and sub contractors
• Ensure the call off of subcontractors, vendors, equipment, materials, hired plant and equipment etc
• Ensure site the manning levels (POB) are maintained to the correct discipline split
• Ensuring adequate resources are available to allow construction, pre-commissioning to be completed.
• Delivery of construction performance improvement through regular review
• Regular liaison and review with client management GPS site manager and project management regarding the review of work practises with the objective of optimising efficiency and effectiveness of the workforce
• Ensure that all construction changes are reported within the change control process.
• Responsible for the completion of all interim handover documentation
• Ensure that daily/weekly reports are produced

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Must be able to demonstrate previous experience in similar construction positions within a construction phase of a project based contract
• Must be able to demonstrate strong supervisory experience across multi discipline teams in a construction environment
• Health and Safety Training (Good understanding of CDM regulations)
