The Role:
We are looking for a Department Leader to strengthen the Technology team with leadership skills and competence in production technology.

The Department Leader will report to the Manager, and be a part of a management team. The final split of responsibilities between the Department Leader Production & Production Optimisation and Department Leader Well Construction & Modelling will be established when both new leaders are available for involvement in the development of the organisation structure. will in total have approximately 30 employees. The size of the Department Production & Production Optimisation is expected to be 10-15.

Previous experience with personnel responsibility and heavy oil development is essential.

The Department Leader – Production & Production Optimisation will have the following main responsibilities:

* Personnel responsibility for employees in the department with focus on developing people and organisation
* Task responsibilities linked to :
* Heavy viscous oil fluid analysis and PVT characterization
* Flow assurance and production chemistry for heavy oil flows. Chemical and diluent injection systems.
* Hydraulic modelling and optimization of heavy oil flow and production.
* Artificial lift design and optimization with focus on ESPs (Electrical Submersible Pumps).
* Produced water re-injection management in general. Hydraulic modelling and calculation of injectivity for matrix and fracture injections.
* Modelling and calculation of inflow control devices (ICD/AICD) for optimal oil production and water shut-off.
* Sand control & management for heavy oil viscous oil production from unconsolidated and highly permeable oil sands.
* Preparation, planning, follow-up and execution of well start-up and clean-up activities and procedures.
* Well monitoring and surveillance.
* Production allocation, production forecast and decline analysis.
* Production optimization with respect to operational limitations and well/process capacities in general.
* Ensure that QA/QC is applied to all deliverables, and support ongoing efforts to improve QA/QC systems.
* Liaise and work closely with other departments (Drilling and well, Operations, Facilities, Logistics and Procurement) to coordinate company interests and project planning.

Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent in related subject
