The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
of Contracts Manager will be responsible for the effective management and administration of Downstream EPCm Contracts.

This will involve:
• Leadership & motivation of contracts staff required to administer the EPCm Contract, ensuring that team members have a clear understanding of their role, objectives and measures for the contracts day to day performance:
o Fostering teamwork and two-way communications at all levels of the project;
o Keeping team members fully informed (as appropriate) of company and project activities and the associated impact on the contract;
o Ensuring a safe work environment for all team members; and that extraordinary effort is recognised.
• Communicating the key principles of the contract to internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting Downstream Contract Holders with regard to any interface with the EPCm contract
• Providing a focal point with Leadership team in relation to Head Contract Performance and improvement initiatives, ensure all Project JV requirements re contracting are satisfied
• Continuously challenging the EPCm Contractor to meet their obligations under contract, establishing and leading audits of Contractor performance.
•Responsible for establishing and managing governance procedures and activities for Downstream contract commercial issues.
•Interfacing as required with other commercial areas of the downstream project, project services, industrial relations, legal, tax and finance functions to ascertain appropriate commercial solutions.
•Responsible for ensuring that Downstream EPCm contractor achieves the required commercial performance through Phase 4 execution.
•Support and promote Project’s objectives for safety performance, environmental protection and regulatory compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
15 years relevant experience
University Degree or relevant experience/certifications
Expertise in managing/supervising teams of contract administrators on major oil/gas and heavy industry projects.
Team player
Good communicator
Respected by peers
