The Role:

We are actively seeking an experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in managing operational activities across the Materials Management functions on Barrow Island. These functions comprise of Materials Control and Materials Management, Warehousing, Laydown, Marine services, Cranes and heavy lift, Road distribution, Cleaning, Bulk fuel receipt and Waste management. In the absence of the Operations Manager you will take operational control across all other functions of the Supply Base. This is a FIFO role working a 26 day on, 9 day off roster.

The responsibilities of the role are but not limited to

• Championing safety through the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) program
• Planning multi logistic functional operations to meet the requirements for the EPCM
• Representing Toll Energy at EPCM contactor meetings
• Monitoring daily activities of workgroups ensuring all planned outcomes are achieved
• Assigning assets to task by function group based on priorities set by client and or Toll Management
• Conduct briefings to the Toll Energy workforce
• Chair and drive operational meetings involving supervisors and superintendents
• Provide mentoring to direct reports
• Monitor performance and drive continual improvement within workgroups

The essential requirements of this role are as follows:

• Proven management experience with profiles of materials received and distributed on a construction project
• Have a previous demonstrable track record of promoting an incident and injury free organisation
• Proven experience in Materials Management Materials Control, Warehousing, Laydown and Supply Chain Management
