The Role:
My client is current seeking a Deputy Shutdown Coordinator for a Perth CBD based role, 12 month+ contract.

The purpose of the role is to provide the client with first class senior level project and line management support for all CAJV and other contractor resources during preparation, execution and closeout of upcoming shutdowns in the absence of the Shutdown Manager / Superintendent when required.

Responsibilities

Be present as the main shutdown focal point to the customer and other contractors.
 Accountable for the effective and safe implementation of shutdown onshore and offshore activities.
 Provide leadership and support to the shutdown implementation team, mentor and coach individuals where required.
 Provide the shutdown teams with the necessary support and feedback during preparation, execution and closeout of shutdowns.
 Demonstrate ownership of processes, including but not limited to – shutdown processes and procedures, QA/QC documentation, document control processes, timekeeping and other commercial processes.
 Demonstrate ownership of shutdown implementation and drive the shutdown processes to maintain compliance to deadlines.
 Oversee operations and maintenance activities from an implementation view point while maintaining an open approach to all problems
 Liaise with Customer on finding implementation methods to achieve the best outcome.
 Ensure that all work packs, ITP’s and maintenance procedures are followed offshore.
 Provide written reports on activities as required
 Perform the key management focal point role for all contractor personnel in the field.
 Responsible for managing in-field, any / all matters relating to IR and HR
 Participate in constructability reviews where required.
 Actively participate in scope kick off meetings.
 Manage the development of Cost Time Resources (CTR) for each defined work scope.
 Participate in planning and scheduling of work scopes with the integrated shutdown planning group.
 Overview activities from an implementation viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to problems and changes.
 Participate in site visits to build and maintain relationships with offshore personnel.
 Provide support and mentoring to offshore supervision and work force during execution phase/s.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Formal engineering qualification or extensive industry experience with a trade background.
Previous offshore shutdown execution coordination experience.
Current valid passport (>6months validity).
TBOSIET / BOSIET or willing to obtain/refresh

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience in project coordination within the offshore engineering, petrochemical and maintenance industries.
Experience in the management of ethnically diverse offshore work force.
