The Role:
Position Description
The Electrical Engineer (EE) will develop and be responsible for the electrical design of the plants and photovoltaic covers that SunEdison develops like own work of Engineering and approving supervisor and of external engineering subcontracted by SunEdison.
EE will create all necessary the engineering technical specifications, standards, etc for the development of engineering.
EE will have to know and to be updated perfectly with respect to all the norms of application of its discipline in all the region of development of the Projects.
EE is expected to travel regionally on a regular basis and occasionally nationally.
Travel time will be approximately 25%.
EE will support, when it is necessary, from the technical point of view to the Project Managers and to the equipment of construction and commissioning of the Projects.
This position will finally report to the Design + Engineering Director.

This individual is responsible for the following tasks:
 Attend site qualification visits to collect information required to complete the design, local regulations and permitting of photovoltaic projects.
 Develop electrical technical specifications, calculation and design drawings, bill of materials and its prices, etc, for photovoltaic projects with national, local, etc, codes and requirements as well as requirements of all other stake holders.
 Coordinate with external engineering (even local engineering) the developer and the approvals and obtain the final design with total compliment with local regulations.
 Provide technical input to support the interconnection application and utility approval process.
 Provide support to Project Managers during the intermediate and final inspection, commissioning and start up of system installations in order to be able to transfer the plant to the client.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience
The individual filling this position would ideally have the following skills and experience. Applicants that lack all of the requirements below will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on their qualification in key areas.
 A Bachelor degree in Engineering. A Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
 Experience in design and commissioning activities with a solar electric installation company.
 Experience designing electrical systems (low and high voltage), experience with electrical switchgear and sub-stations, or experience with distributed generation system design.
 Experience in automation, monitoring and control of systems.
 Knowledge in the handling and use of regulations at national and international level (example: IEC´s, etc).
 Knowledge of the requirements of legalizations of facilities in its field.
 Experience in analysis and evaluation of supplies of contractors, technique and economically.
