The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
Realisation of Body Design & Engineering Concepts

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Lead the integration of a supplementary HVAC system in the rear of vehicles within Special Projects working together with contracted engineering partners.
CAD design and modelling of body & interior components:
- Preparation of detailed drawings to drafting standards
- Management of created CAD into Teamcenter ensuring all model attributes are completed
- Preparation and of engineering release packs
- Work under the direction of VEM and project manager on a day to day basis
- Use Digibuck to review and present design concepts
-Take CAD designs from concept to finished model and produce finished drawings for engineering release.
- Support and/or investigate resolution of build issues during prototype, pre-production builds and launch phase.
This role also requires some level of project engineering responsibility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or equivalent within an engineering related discipline.
Extensive CAD experience in NX with automotive experience in component design.
A working knowledge of Teamcenter would be advantageous although training can be provided.
Knowledge of interior trim components, plastic injection moulding components, Vac formed parts, machined metal products and metal bracketry.
Knowledge of leather trimming and mechanism systems would also be advantageous.
Knowledge of carbon fibre would a distinct advantage.
A working knowledge of component manufacturing methods, tooling requirements & lead times.
- Proficient user of Unigraphics NX
- Proficient user of ‘Teamcenter’
- Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Team player, Flexible and able to work with minimum supervision
- Success driven and results orientated with the ability to work with challenging timescales
