The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
CAD support for Current Vehicle Engineering.
To carry out design changes to current production components on specific vehicle programmes, in line with the change detail specified on the related engineering concern.
 Ensure design changes must include all affected components and next level assemblies up to first level Master Package / Usage Assembly, a complete structure update in Team Centre (TCe). All related engineering drawings must also be updated as part of the change process, and supplied to the progressing CVE engineer to meet CMM release timing.
 Support CVE / Manufacturing engineers in day to day general design studies, for example clearance checks, assembly sections, tolerance stacks.
 Control of export / Import data in a secure fashion at request of CVE / Manufacturing engineers.
 Liaise with external contracted work to ensure and CAD changes done are to the required standards and comply with the Aston Martin release process.
 Interrogate Goldcrest BOM (purchasing BOM) to ensure correlation with TCe (CAD BOM) when completing a change.
 Manage own and teams open concerns using company change management system and ensure all concerns are up to date and reflect the current status.
 Ensure all KPIs and annual plan targets are met.
 In order support CVE development each engineer has window roles or technical skill which needs to be developed, standardised and trained to the rest of the team and potentially rolled out across the rest of the divisions and possibly company.
 ERN release process, eCMS concern management process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proficient in use on NX 7.5 CAD system both modelling and design detailing would be essential.
 Experience of practical problem solving (PPS/8D).
 Has experience in Failure Mode Avoidance (Drawing Study/Quality History).
 Implemented engineering changes by release process essential.
 Experience of performing tolerance stacks essential.
 Knowledge of Ideas CAD system would be an advantage when referencing legacy data.
 Proficient knowledge of Team Centre Engineering (TCe). The ability to interrogate TCe to obtain structure paths highlighting all affected components requiring modification / updating within a specific change essential.
 Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerance structures and GD&T interpretation essential.
 Good understanding of vehicle structures and terminology.
 Have knowledge of export / import file creation, igs, stp, cgm, dxf formats etc, - secure data send protocol (AMDX).
 Good communication and investigative skills essential.
