The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
•CAD design and modelling of all interior trim NVH components.
•Preparation of detailed drawings to AML drafting standards.
•Management of created CAD into Teamcenter ensuring all model attributes are completed.
•Preparation and responsibility of engineering release packs (Engineering Release Notes).
•Ensure release notes are planned and submitted to support business lead times for vehicle builds.
•Preparation and ownership of commodity timing plans for NVH components.
•Work under the direction of the Lead Project Engineer/PMST leader on a day to day basis.
•Take information from NVH Attribute team members to produce finished designs.
•Use Digibuck to review and present design concepts.
•Take CAD designs from concept to finished model and produce finished drawings for engineering release.
•Prepare suitable data for transmission to suppliers for quotation and tooling e.g. DXF files.
•Support and/or investigate resolution of build issues during pre-production builds and launch phase.
•Design components within NX format.
•Use Digibuck to review and present design concepts.
•Support NVH PAT team for design and release schedule.
•Design and release workload to operate to the relative programme/PMST requirements.
•Preparation of paperwork for engineering release is required.
•This role also requires some level of project engineering responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience:
•Educated to degree level or equivalent within an engineering related discipline.
•Extensive CAD experience in NX with automotive experience in component design and packaging.
•A working knowledge of Teamcenter would be advantageous although training can be provided.
•Knowledge of NVH components and attributes. Experience of interior trim plastic injection moulding components, Vac formed parts, machined metal products and metal bracketry.
•Knowledge of leather trimming and mechanism systems would also be advantageous.
•Experience of automotive release processes and supplier involvement/communication. Training will be given for AML specific release system and process.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
•A working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements & lead times
•Knowledge of quality systems such as 8D and DFMEA would be an advantage as would flexibility and a willingness to take on challenges
•Ability to use Ideas CAD running on workstation equipment in the course of generating designs.
