The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Powertrain Advanced Product Creation Systems Engineering department is responsible for scoping future programmes and taking them through to the GPDS PSC Gateway. They then Handover to the Powertrain System Engineering Teams who deliver through to the start of production. The PT APC PTSE department is specifically responsible for delivery of Cooling, Fuel, Exhaust and Intake systems through to the PSC Gateway. The Roles being advertised are for Senior CAD Engineers to work within the PTSE Team and work with Lead Engineers to develop Component CAD Package and Component Design detail to allow component costs to be developed robustly and functional assessments to be completed through CAE Analysis. Key responsibilities will include; Develop Component Package and Detailed 3D Design to support Costing Process - 2D detailing not required at this stage. Develop CAD Model to the standard required to support CAE analysis by the CAE Team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. CATIA V5 / Team Centre / Digibuck.
2. Familairity with vehicle installation requirements & powertrain functionality would be useful.
3. Good Communication skills are essential to support a good working relationship with the Lead Engineers to allow the component package and design to be developed efficiently
4. Experience of new model programs packaging & delivery across multiple platforms
5. Degree preferred but not mandatory

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing process is advantageous but not essential.
