The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Primary responsibility is to fulfill role of a CAD design engineer, implementing design solutions within the Powertain Sensors and Actuators team with respect to the installation of in-line & Vee engines into both existing & future platforms.

Role will involve circa 70% - 80% pure CAD engineering with remainder of time working closely with the local component hardware owners. Hardware responsibilities include all type of electronic components and bracket designs. Expected outcome - maximise synergies enabling cross carline installations solutions & generation of robust hardware designs.



The Sensors and Actuators team are based at Whitley, however interaction with teams at Gaydon may be required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven capability of CATIA V5 & TCE
- Familiarity with vehicle installation requirements & powertrain functionality are essential
- Proven ability to work with cross functional teams with opposing views / requirements is required
- Good team co-ordination & communication skills are essential
- Experience of virtual series activities / requirements and reporting out activities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a multiple program environment with conflicting requirements delivering under very tight timelines
- Prior experience / use of TeamCentre is a significant benefit
- Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing process is advantageous but not essential
- Degree preferred but not mandatory
