The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
In this key Fuel Systems engineering role, you'll use your people skills and CAD skills to lead an experienced team across multiple sites.
Using both Catia v5 CAD and TCe (TeamCentre) you will design and develop fuel system components and packages, carry out geometrical package studies and generate production drawings.
You'll focus on everything from concept feasibility to design and package feasibility across all fuel system components.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of technical CAD and workload for a small skilled team and will be expected to allocate and track work through the team as well as be hands-on for problem solving.
You will also liaise with suppliers and manage data transfer into and out of the organisation.
You will report through the powertrain fuel system manager and ultimately, you'll be a key part of the team which will enhance our peerless reputation for quality.
You'll be challenged to meet the project virtual series gateway requirements of releasing and freezing geometrical designs.
We'll expect you to work closely with Vehicle Packaging and functional component teams to develop solutions, ensure component feasibility, and make sure interfacing part owners buy into changes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong people management and communication skills, being able to prioritise and effectively delegate work across a diverse team.
CATIA V5 and Team Centre experience.
Min 3 years CATIA v5 experience in an automotive OEM environment
HND or higher in relevant engineering field.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience with Ford or Jaguar Landrover CAD and releasing systems.
Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands. Able to manage workload and work independently
