A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.
The role involves supporting the design and engineering of powertrain systems and components including: Fuel, Oil, Cooling, HVAC, exhaust, base engine, transmission and driveline.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Liaise with system engineers to establish component and system requirements.
Create package schemes using NX7.5 and TCE8.3 to corporate requirements.
Migrate components from IDEAS to NX and repair 3D models & 2D details as required
Release of 3D and 2D detail designs, including maintenance of TCE Digital Bucks, to high standard.
Liaise with component engineers and suppliers to establish all necessary information in support of design activities.
Support package studies and reviews with all necessary information in consideration of all affected areas.
Support engineers with information for part procurement activities.
Support Programme and Powertrain Checkpoints, Design reviews, Package Meetings & Powertrain PMT meetings where required.
Support/ Assist engineers in the resolution of Engineering Concerns including ensuring CAD information is available and transferred to the supplier in a timely manner. Advising relevant engineer or programme manager if data is likely to be late.
Experience of data transfer via web based portals or high speed data links would be advantageous.
Excellent time management and self-discipline.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Competent with NX7.5 and Team Centre Engineering.
Previous experience of Automotive Powertrain related CAD design.
Preferably educated to Degree level or an equivalent length of relevant experience.
Previous experience/knowledge of design standards would be beneficial.
A flexible attitude to the range of systems is required and the ability to support multiple programmes with demanding time constraints.
Good PC skills (MS Office including preparation of Power Point presentations)
