The Role:
Primary responsibility is to lead & implement design solutions within the Powertain APC CAD Packaging team with respect to the installation of in-line engines into both existing & future platforms. Role will include working with other CAD engineers both within the APC team & the wider Powertrain disciplines including Base Engines, Transmission & Driveline. Interfacing with the Vehicle Package teams across Gaydon & Whitley sites will be a significant part of the role. Expected outcome - maximise synergies enabling cross carline installations solutions & generation of concept design hardware of Powertrain Systems (ie - exhaust, fuels, cooling, air intake) hardware

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. CATIA V5.
2. Familairity with vehicle installation requirements & powertrain functionality are essential. Proven ability to work with cross functional teams with opposing views / requirements is required.
3. Good team co-ordination & communication skills are essential
4. Experience of new model programs packaging & delivery across multiple platforms.
5. Degree preffered but not mandatory

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to work with minimum supervision in a pre program phase with changing assumptions / demands under very tight timelines.
Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing process is advantageous but not essential.
