The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
PTSE Air Induction & Urea System Engineer Jaguar and Land Rover Role Definition: - Working with Technical Specialist to ensure that the appropriate design processes are implemented to support the programme delivery. - Deploy new learning with the generation of New Design Rules / Development Tests / Requirements for Air Induction, UREA Systems and Engine Covers - Maintain the foundation quality tool documents for Air Induction Systems and Engine Covers. ie DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams etc - Ensure that new design rules and DVM's (both JLR and supplier based) are generated to meet the performance objectives.. - Working with the technical specialist to an develop understanding of future system requirements. - Lead Campaign Prevention for Air Induction and Urea Systems including support of fresh eyes events. - Conduct and document Benchmarking Activities of competitor Air Induction & Urea products. - Support universities with research projects for Air Induction and Urea Systems - Ensure that processes support the vehicle programme and company objectives such as relating to ISO 9000, QS9000, ISO14001 and all company procedures.

Skills Required:
Good Engineering Degree, high level of computer literacy specifically Word, Exel, Power Point and Project & current Driving Licence. Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands, with good presentation skills. Knowledge and experience of automotive vehicle systems & engineering quality tools such as DFMEA's and Failure Mode Avoidance. Demonstrable experience of technical report writing and an ability to convey technical direction."

Skills Preferred:
Experience of JLR Engineering Systems, especially GTDS, GPDS, Byteworx "

Experience Required:
Experience of Mechanical Systems Design and the application of industry standard quality toolsets (eg DFMEA). Candidate must be enthusiastic, with a positive approach with the ability to proactively communicate within and outside of the department."

Experience Preferred:
Experience of Automotive Engineering and delivery processes Familiarity with Automotive Air Induction systems."

Education Required:
Educated to Degree or equivalent level in a related discipline.

Dual Site Location (Whitley and Gaydon Sites) Plan is to move to Gaydon; end of 2012
