The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Supporting homologation to all global markets to ensure the timely delivery of documentation and guidance to both foundation brakes and Stability Control System (SCS) department whilst working closely with Automotive Safety Office (ASO).
The candidate will also support : Liaising with the lead application and PMST leaders within both the Foundation Brakes & SCS teams and engineers from the product assurance office leader to provide technical support and assist in preparation of supporting documentations for the homologation of the brakes subsystems.
Supporting the delivery of vehicle homologations to the Gateway requirements of the product assurance office.
Supporting appropriate elements of the homologation strategy, particularly transition to virtual techniques
Supporting self-certification tests carried out by external facilities.
Working closely with the ASO office to define a vehicle 'worst case' for any new vehicle or mid life cycle programmes to reduce the number of vehicles required for a witnessed approval

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Confident communication and presentation skills.
Must be self motivated and enthusiastic with a thorough and proactive approach to ensure that all tests and documentation is completed robustly.
Ability to communicate confidentially at all levels within the company and outside.
Good project planning skills
Ability to interpret new legal requirements and provide guidance to both the SCS & brakes teams.
Liaising with the SCS system suppliers to ensure that any supporting documentation required for a homologation tests arrives in a timely manner.
Compile Self-Certification documentation and any sign-off reports to ensure that all homologation documentation is traceable.
Liaison with other process partners including Design, Purchase, Project Team, Manufacturing, Electrical etc.
Confidence in the use of Microsoft office applications - particularly for project planning, reporting and presentation purposes. UK Full driving licence.

The ideal candidate for this role would have a background in both automotive engineering and international standards or law.
