The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of engineers strongly focussed on the delivery of vehicle braking system which fulfil the Performance Attribute Targets and legal requirements. In delivering this the candidate will: Contribute towards the setting, balancing and delivery of braking performance attribute targets Lead the CAE Tools development and implementation within the braking attributes group. Contribute towards the delivery of a Design Verification Plan to deliver CAE, vehicle and rig test programmes. Contribute towards the programme of vehicle track and road testing to assess braking system performance against attribute targets With reference to braking performance attributes, identify issues, investigate their root cause and propose engineering solutions. Contribute towards the development of optimized solutions to performance issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to confidently present project status reports to supplier and internal senior teams. Project management skills demonstrated by a track record of planning and delivering complex programmes either in an academic or industrial context. An understanding of automotive chassis systems (such as suspension structures) is essential in order to participate in attribute target balancing. Full UK Cat B Driving Licence
Experience involved in braking system design and performance target achievement preferably within the Automotive sector Good working knowledge of brakes theory, brakes component characteristics, ABS system, brakes performances and other Chassis systems. Experience with analysis/simulation tools, such as: AMEsim, MATLAB/Simulink, Simpack, Abaqus and etc, would be an advantage. (training will be provided) Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.

Simulink / Mat Lab / Multi body dynamic modelling experience
