The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
To design and develop Exterior Mouldings (Bumpers, Sills, Splitters, Diffusers, Spoilers) for future vehicle programmes.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
 Assist with benchmarking Company and competitor Exterior Mouldings.
 Support preparation of design briefs and targets for all new components.
 Develop compatible designs from initial concept to production release, in conjunction with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing and suppliers.
 Apply failure mode avoidance tools and processes (DoE, DFMEA, DFA etc).
 Support Virtual Series events through to FDJ.
 Support completion of engineering releases to the highest quality and in time.
 Support DV test plan with representative prototype components.
 Ensure PD concerns are resolved to the highest quality and in time.

Qualifications and Experience:
 Engineering degree or equivalent.
 Extensive experience in automotive body engineering is preferred.
 A working knowledge of component manufacturing and tooling requirements.
 Intuitive knowledge of fundamental engineering theory.
 CAD literate (ideally user), preferably IDEAS/NX.
 Self starting and self motivated.
 Good organisational skills.
 Full driving licence.
