The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Hybrid 'System under test' Integration Development Engineer.
This role is responsible for developing and support hybrid systems deployed to physical test rigs (Dynamometers, HV test rigs etc) and early level prototype vehicles. This includes design coordination of the system to ensure compatibility of features/functions in the deployed hardware, management of system installation/commissioning, supporting the development of hardware-in-the-loop simulators, development of protoype solutions to enable early level functionality and supporting verification and validation work carried out on the rigs/vehicles. The Hybrid & Electrification CoC is responsible for delivering Full Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid and stop-start systems to the business. These are highly complex electro-mechanical systems so the department employs a systems engineering approach to their design & development. Within the Controls, Systems and Attributes function there are specific teams responsible for systems design and the systems integration and verification. This role is within the Systems Integration and Verification Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Appreciation of the integration challenges associated with complex electro-mechanical systems Understanding of the technologies which come together in hybrid vehicles, particularly system architectures Appreciation of vehicle networks, particularly CAN & CCP/XCP Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills & self confidence to drive resolution of complex integration issues Demonstrable project management, team working skills Ability to generate metrics / presentation material for management and programme review purposes. Experience of working with real-time electrical/electronic systems Experience of working with complex electro-mechanical products
Experience of troubleshooting system issues on vehicle or on rig/HIL tools"Degree qualified in a relevant field or equivalent industrial experience.
Role will require regular inter-site travel therefore, it is essential that candidates hold a valid UK Drivers licence

Understanding of HIL hardware/software architectures Understanding of the technologies which come together in hybrid vehicles, particularly system architectures " Experience of working with/developing HIL test properties Experience of coordinating outsourced engineering work
