The Company:
A major oil and gas operator is looking for a Development Engineer. The Development Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sanction engineering support to the PRLNG venture teamt.The position reports to the Surface Engineering Manager within the Upstream Development Team.

The Role:
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team spanning subsurface and surface disciplines during the pre-sanction phases of project development to ensure range of development concepts are created and optimal development plans progressed. This includes preparing cost and schedule estimates in line with project maturity.
• Interface with JV partners to guide and manage the execution of technical work.
• Manage engineering contractors scope, quality and delivery.
• Assist in the development and transfer of best practice JV guidelines, processes and standards.
• Interfacing with subsurface, wells engineering, asset operations, Advance Development, Engineering & Projects and Commercial to ensure robust and consistent development scenarios.
• Coordination of economics input process to ensure that evaluation and screening is undertaken on a consistent and timely basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Facilities/process engineering background. BSc or higher in relevant Engineering discipline and a Chartered Engineer.
• Significant experience of conceptual engineering and feasibility studies in Facilities/Development Engineering, covering onshore and offshore oil and gas production and associated facilities in a client/operator environment.
• Experience of one or more current significant portfolio project types would be beneficial e.g. onshore processing plants, shale gas and coal seam gas.
• Breadth and depth of engineering experience across all phases of Project Development from Create to Execute needed to enable quality control of contractor technical work, ensuring appropriate techniques and standards are applied and opportunities for technical and business improvement realised.
• Based in Houston with potential future relocation to Calgary as project progresses – requirement to travel on a regular basis to Canada.
