The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Playing a key role in the fast-paced delivery of Automated Driving across the client's product range, this Development Engineer role offers a great opportunity for someone to work in this exciting and challenging area of the Automotive Industry. The primary role is to develop and use virtual and physical Tools and Techniques in the development and validation of Automated Driving: Support the creation of a state-of-the art Physical and Virtual Toolset for Automated Driving. Support the Automated Driving development and validation activities, through appropriate use of test and analysis tools. Cascade the available Tools & Techniques to the department, gaining relevant stakeholder support to ensure they are available and utilised. Gather and analyse data to help define our Global Customer Requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Programming in C / Matlab / Simulink. Parametric vehicle simulation, with co-simulation (e.g. IPG CarMaker or similar). Excellent team-working and communication skills, enthusiastic and with a strong Customer Focus. Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision. Product Development experience, working on complex interacting systems (e.g. ADAS, Vehicle Dynamics control, Electronic Brake control). Experience in data capture and post-processing techniques. Experience in using Matlab / Simulink and IPG CarMaker (or similar) for co-simulation of complex systems. Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline (eg Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems & Control Engineering or similar).
