The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and gas operator with operations though out the world.

The Role:
The Development Geologist will be responsible for the following;

• Actively participating in the well planning process, optimising well locations using both geological and geophysical data.
• Providing detailed depositional models within a regional sequence stratigraphical framework.
• Providing a range of geological models for uncertainty analysis and alternative outcomes constrained by both static and dynamic data.
• Generating static uncertainty ranges and understanding their impact on dynamic simulation.
• Inputting into the life of field surveillance plans.
• Understanding life of field reservoir driven HSE impacts.
• Participate in the formulation of Reserves Support Packages.
• Integrating geological work with geophysical and reservoir engineering analysis to provide unified interpretations.
• Generating appraisal plans for future developments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University Geoscience degree.
• A good grounding in Geoscience is required along with relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Skilful application of a standard geological software suite.
• Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists and partners are necessary.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to create integrated products and the ability to communicate results and interpretations to management.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate basic experience of field development, including, operations, reservoir description, geological interpretation, well data integration, and reservoir management.
