The Role:
Job Description: Development Geology position on a multi-functional asset team driving geological interpretations around a complexly faulted shallow salt dome, evaluations and recommendations related to asset development, reservoir management, opportunity identification and field development planning. Responsibilities include interpreting, mapping and integrating a new state of the art WAZ seismic dataset, well data, production and engineering data to facilitate new opportunity identification, hydrocarbon resource and reserve estimation, risk and uncertainty assessments. Conducting post-well studies to inform future drilling and follow up opportunities.

Education: A Master's Degree in an Earth Science related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Development Geology experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant development geology experience may be considered.

Experience: Background and competencies in Gulf of Mexico petroleum geology and a broad range of Earth Science related functions such as log interpretation, seismic interpretation, well logging and formation evaluation, structural and reservoir property mapping, cross sections, and volumetric and risk assessments. Reservoir characterization knowledge, with experience or a keen interest in field studies, building and updating static earth models with new well data and subsurface uncertainties. Knowledge of asset development planning and reservoir management. Experience in computer-based applications, with working knowledge of interpretation and mapping tools such as EPOS/Paradigm, Landmark Suite, Kingdom Suite, Gocad and/or Petra. Ability to coordinate geological data, develop technical work plans and utilize project management processes to effectively mature geological and asset development related projects. Desire and ability to innovative and elevate performance through the identification and implementation of new technologies. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively work and collaborate in a multi-functional and multi-cultural technical peer group. Demonstrated ability to clearly convey concepts an objectives verbally, in presentations and in technical reports, to a wide range of stakeholder groups.
