The Role:
Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose
Responsible for building market position by identifying, attracting, determining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with investors in the Commercial & Retail market segment in line with the EZC’s strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Marketing department for market research and studies efforts to identify new opportunities for EZC to invest in the Commercial & Retail market segment.
• Identify and develop new business with investors by pursing business opportunities with strategic targets in the Commercial & Retail market segment and building on relationships with existing investors.
• Identify and assess new market and partnership opportunities by building relationships through networking and participating with Commercial & Retail market segment groups and networking associations.
• Work closely with investors to discuss what services EZC can provide in starting a business in QEZ; including assessment of the business operating in Qatar, design, construction, and funding as appropriate.
• Work closely with investors to provide supporting information that would help in studying the investments and assess feasibility of the business in QEZ, such as regional market information and competitor analysis.
• Work closely with investors to clarify legal and regulatory details for operating in QEZ.
• Understand investors’ business requirement and coordinate with Design and Technical Construction departments on finalizing and closing agreements.
• Monitor key business metrics; identify potential risk areas and lead mitigation efforts.
• Communicate and Negotiate between investors and relevant EZC internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and documented.
• Collaborate with the Commercial and Contracts division to document and finalize agreements with investors.
• Ensure projects’ plans are communicated to investors in order to set expectations; update investors accordingly.
• Sponsor and promote continuous workplace improvement including collaborative working, partnering and project management.
• Resolve escalated risks and potential issues, or escalate to the Chief Development Officer for solutions.
• Perform other tasks and duties that may be required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the Economic Zone Company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications - Education and Certifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent
• MBA is preferred
• Certification in Marketing or related field is preferred

Experience
• Normally a successful candidate would have 8 years of related work experience in the Commercial & Retail market segment
• Proven experience working in commercial and industrial estate
• Proven experience in negotiating and concluding agreements
• Proven experience in managing large projects
• Proven experience in managing teams and professional consultants
• Proven experience in working in the GCC

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Business Development Knowledge of commercial projects
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
