The Role:
The Development Planning Coordinator will provide Project Management support to the Programme Manager and Development Support Managers.

Act as Engagement Leader for Programme rollout as assigned by Programme Manager. Co-ordinates and leads engagement.
Analyses Asset/Venture issues and opportunities, document finding and make recommendations for the Engagement. This includes planning delivery schedule, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
Respond to Asset/Venture problems and requests related to Development & Project Planning best practices; judge and assess problems and define solutions (redirect to IT or onto the Development Support Manager if necessary; support and track progress).
Work closely with Asset Development/Project Managers, Development Support Managers, peers & functions to share knowledge and ensure best practices are applied and enhancements are recommended to solve problems.
Provides expert Venture Management tool (VMT) advise and consultancy to local Asset/Venture teams.
Develop and train local Asset/Venture teams on VMT matters and VMT utilisation.
Provide expert advice and consultancy on Development & Project Planning related topics or events such as Framing Sessions or workshop; travel occasionally to asset if necessary.
Participate in any cross-region Venture Management (VM) Programme effort or activity if requested by Programme Manager or Development Support Managers.

Make contributions to the VM Programme and processes and tools.
Produce weekly reports to make suggestions for enhancements/interventions on Asset/Venture to Development Support Manager and Programme Manager
Escalate Asset/Venture issues to Development Support Manager and Programme Manager and perform ad-hoc analysis on VMT related issues as requested by Development Support Manager.
make recommendations for Asset/Venture VM Programme audits (local or remote), carry out analysis and present recommendations for review.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in different working environments and cultures across a range of management positions
Good people skills, a natural networker and excellent communicator
Proven organisational and time management skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of oil and gas business and awareness of subsurface technology
Experience at influencing people at all levels, and in particular senior stakeholders
Ability to analyse a problem and understand its root causes
Understanding of change management and behaviours
Ability to influence people without depending on authority
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
Self starter who is motivated to see work through
Good oral and written presentation skills
Systematic and methodical approach
Enthusiasm and the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to process large amounts of data from different sources
Experience of SharePoint and Microsoft Project beneficial
