The Company:
Our company is a leading UK independent oil operator in the North Sea with a dynamic management team and exciting growth plans to develop operations further in the UKCS. Working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting directly for the New Developments Manager you will be heavily involved in the pre-development and conceptual engineering work for company's operated and non-operated developments, tie backs, and other significant asset projects.

The Role:
• Lead and/or participate in concept design and selection studies for field developments and prepare all documentation for moving into front end engineering design
• Managing internal employees or support contractors in the delivery of studies and reviews
• Manage and participate in reviews as part of the wider development maturation process
• Prepare sanction dossiers and board papers for new projects / developments
• Compilation of databases, either technical or cost as part of a continual improvement process
• Assist in evaluation of potential acquisitions and new ventures
• Compilation and/or review of front end cost estimates as part of development maturation process

• Strong networking and communication skills externally and internally – ability to cultivate and build strong internal and external relationships with business counterparts
• Excellent written and presentation skills, with ability to adapt style and content of presentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to display confidence in own abilities and is motivated to deliver


Skills
Essential:

• Computer fluency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Can demonstrate the ability to apply creative thinking and to problem solve effectively
• Self-motivated team player with ability and desire to take responsibility and drive work loads to effective resolution.
• Ability to contribute to the team but equally work on own initiative.
• Actively shares company vision and encourages others to participate in finding solutions


Experience
Essential:

• Extensive experience of process and/or project engineering in an exploration and production environment
• Experience within the client/operator environment and knowledge of the safety, environmental and operational aspects of their work
• Knowledge of topside process, fluid flow and flow assurance
• Knowledge and previous experience of estimating practices
• Good understanding of E&P surface facilities (process through to operations) and an understanding of interface requirements, with subsurface disciplines and commercial, to enable incorporation of multi-discipline results into the process engineering element of development studies and FEED work
• Demonstrate industry experience in a similar role across operations and projects
• Track record of development engineering on capital investment projects
• Good technical skills, with recognised speciality in one domain
• In-depth knowledge of UKCS asset development and operating practices

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable:

• Experience with HYSYS and Pipesim.
• Familiarity with OLGA
• Current offshore survival, medical and Mist certification is desirable

Essential:

• Candidates must be qualified to Degree Level in Engineering or related science/technology fields
• Must be able to demonstrate continuing personal and professional development
