The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Project assigned DFO Coordinator provides guidance and support to the entire project team, ensuring the smooth transition of DFO documentation from project to Corporate signoff. Ensures supplier and contactor DFO deliverables are in compliance with the documented IORVL standards and procedures.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate DFO for all related projects
• Develop KPI’s to track Contractor progress and compliance to project standards
• Develop DFO progress reports for Client senior management
• Coordinate planning and delivery of early, start up, final and project documentation handover
• Maintain lines of communication with the Corporate organization throughout all projects duration
• Attend pre and post purchase order award meetings to facilitate supplier understanding of DFO deliverables by project
• Supervise and train staff as required
• Develop and rollout presentations as required
• Participate in the interface with contractors and suppliers as needed to ensure DFO deliverables meet project objectives
• Coordinate monthly DFO meetings with contractors
• Develop and maintain DFO procedures and workflows
• Coordinate reviews of contractor and supplier DFO deliverables with DFO Doc Analysts
• Ensure early delivery DFO documentation is available to support final commissioning and start up
• Develop a audit schedule for each contractor
• Audit contractors DFO deliverables
• Review deviations to the DFO specification
• Engage Information Management Coordinator regarding issues that require further attention
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 2 yrs Post secondary education in a related field
• 10 yrs of experience in areas of operations and/or project technical support, including working experience with document management, documentation turnover requirements, and IT systems and tools.
• 5+years in a leadership position including Knowledge of engineering technical terminology
• Experience in a production, refining, chemicals or mining operations technical support organization in desirable.
• Attention to detail and proof reading skills
• Superior command of English language written and oral presentation skills
• Experience in electronic data management systems (EDMS), e.g. DM, FileNET, Documentum, etc.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Proven ability to work within a multicultural team
• Ability to travel on short notice complete wit uptodate passport.
