The Company:
The objective of this role is primarily to support the ITER Diagnostic Team in the diagnostic design, with particular emphasis in the areas of design and analysis in the neutronics and thermal engineering areas.

The Role:
The selected candidate will assist the division in coordinating the project by
- Run Appropriate Neutronics codes to get assessment for neutronics and activation for diagnostic systems and interpret the data
- Advise the Diagnostics Designers on above and iterate
- Assist in the design of the Invessel Neutron Calibration System
- Assist Responsible Officers to specify/ follow-up nuclear safety guidelines and documents to ensure that diagnostic system fully comply with French nuclear safety requirements
- Assist Port system designers/ ROs in defining the proper shielding configurations for components (during operation) and personnel (during maintenance)
- Participate in diagnostic review meetings and note/ follow-up nuclear safety and neutronics issues which emerge during design work
- Assist the diagnostic division as necessary to ensure it achieves its objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate for carrying out the work described in Section 5 must have proven experience in
the following areas:
- PhD In Physics or equivalent degree in relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience in handling technical projects in the nuclear environment
- Demonstrated experience in engineering analysis and modelling
- Demonstrated experience in working in a team
- Demonstrated capability to work in English language, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated excellent technical writing skills
