The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Leading resolution of the key, technical and strategic challenges facing the Digital Life incubator Research Mega Project Definition of the Digital Life requirements on the vehicles electrical architecture Selection of the Digital Life technologies and features suitable for the future Development of Proof-of-Concept (POC) technologies with support from key Suppliers Identification of the Digital Life Roadmap Support strategic University Research and Blue Sky projects (Milestone based) in Digital Life Support and lead projects towards the development of Digital Life technologies and features via the TCDS process from to Provide technical support for projects post when handing over to mainstream engineering Oversee peer and technical review for projects Delivery of projects on time and on budget

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Be an enthusiastic, forward looking, lateral thinker with proven creative, research and innovation skills Be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a resolution of the key technical issues within a team environment Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self confidence and a 'passion for the product and business' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Strong leadership and getting the most out of the teams is essential
Good project planning, management and delivery experience Have experience and knowledge in the field of Digital Life technologies or similar A knowledge of JLR systems and development processes would be advantageous
Ideally a have degree in Communications, Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, Automotive Engineering or a closely related area (PhD is an advantage)
