The Role:
28/28 Rotaton

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the engineering management and coordination with related sections and departments for the execution of all relative projects.
Coordinates all Engineering Activities and responsible for resolving issues related to design.
Aware of the engineering specifications practices and try to reduce project cost through engineering optimization.
Supervise and evaluates the performance of design teams who providing engineering services to project.
Ensure proper engineering support to the procurement, PMC and production operation/maintenance.

Key accountabilities:

• Engineering Management:
Support the Manager of Engineering’s work. Take part in bidding progress for engineering and/or construction contracts. Initiate/review/control of Engineering Service Request (SER).
Take part in the reviewing and verifying of engineering progress to meet with the overall plan. Supervise the works in compliance with the standard or code.
Take part in the reviewing and approving of the design during concept, basic and detail engineering phases.
Coordinates between engineering and procurement when issuing the PO.
Assist in the co-ordination of interfacing requirements with related disciplines.

• Review /control documents:
Review documents related to your assigned disciplines - likely piping/pipeline(process)/mechanical. Supervise the review progress. Organize/coordinate other suitable engineers for timely review/close of the document.

• Technical Query (TQ) and Deviation:
Coordinate/solve problems occurred during engineering/procurement/construction/operation. Respond to TQ raised from engineering and construction. Initiate/respond to deviations.

• Procurement Support:
Organize discipline engineers for procurement support. Respond to / raise clarifications. Review supplier/vendor’s design document. Review requirements for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and reports. Take part in FAT inspection at manufacturer’s site as required.

• Construction/Production/Maintenance Support:
Take part in reviewing of site activities including project punch list. Organizes design discipline engineers to support construction, testing, commissioning, production operation and maintenance.

• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP and other operability and safety reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) and with strong execution delivery and interpersonal skills demonstrated in leadership and influencing in these areas, especially with local engineering team.
• 20+ years of industry experience in a variety of roles that demonstrate skills progression leading to senior Engineering roles. Relevant experience in successive roles includes Engineering design, project management, operations/maintenance and integrity/audit roles.
• Good presentation and persuasion skills with effective communication skills demonstrated in internally and externally. Demonstrate mentoring of foreign nationals in Middle Eastern location
