The Role:
Our client is looking for a dynamic Manager to head up the Technical Safety and Environment Team, due to new and future projects in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry.

The Discipline Manager of Technical Safety & HSE will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee all Design HSE aspects of project execution within the Aker Engineering Department.
Will provide technical leadership on all HSE & Technical matters.
Undertake technical peer reviews of projects.
Recruit personnel and will build the Technical Safety team.
Manage and motivate the Technical Safety team
Support training and development of staff.
Conduct annual performance reviews of staff.
Develop and maintain Designer HSE Discipline corporate processes and procedures.
Generate discipline man-hour estimates and CTR's for projects and bids.
Provide input into proposals in the form of narratives and reviews.
Develop and maintain working relationships in Design HSE across offices worldwide.
Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirement related to the HSE & Technical Safety discipline.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified - BSc in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Chartered Engineer

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The Discipline Manager would preferably have the
following experience:
EPC, Contracting industry experience.
Offshore, Oil and gas Industry experience
Previous Managerial experience
