The Company:
A major oil & gas exploration, production, refining, transport, and storage company

The Role:
The primary responsibility is to provide all technical / contractual guidance to maintain company Sub sea assets and supervision of the Diving services contracts and coordinate with other company department for work execution meeting the deadlines, maintaining all safety and technical standards.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Develop and implement Company Diving operational strategy, Business plans, Objectives, procedures and guide lines to achieve its short, medium, and long term business plans.
2. Manage, analyse & control routine/non routine budget for long term, short term and any adhoc contracts for Diving operations.
3. Develop Procurement and service related tendering strategies for, Diving support vessel and Material call of contract.
4. Work in complete coordination with other Company Departments for all the required supports for inspection / remedial works maintaining all safety and technical standards. Report any short falls and make necessary recommendations.
5. Conduct regular internal/external meetings acting as department representative to review progress, ensure compliance with Company requirements.
6. Manage the work of assigned personnel including allocation of job responsibilities, training, appraising performance (SMART Objectives) and developing staff.
7. Review the necessary work requests received from user departments in SAP. Analyse daily and monthly progress and ensure the completion compliance in the work order.
8. Co-ordinates the inspection and audits of all diving equipment, spreads, vessels, manpower and procedures to verify compliance with Company standards and procedures and all contractual requirements.
9. Prepare the necessary documentation for contractor mobilisation & demobilisation.
Monitor and review work programs to ensure that Contractual requirements are fully met.
10. Implements Company policy on training and development programs including special purpose training with particular reference to Qatari Development.

Decision Making Authority:

Accountable for efficient coordination of all Diving Services Contracts in accordance with Company Policies and Directives. Must be alert to inform Department of any potential situation which will result in unacceptable delays to programs and schedules due to Diving Services inefficiencies, breakdowns, shortfalls or any other contractual noncompliances.

At the same time the incumbent must ensure that other Expatriate staff involved in the provision of Diving Services activities are also developed in the overall Corporation’s interests as far as possible in the local circumstance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
B.Sc or equivalent, in an Engineering discipline preferred. Holds specialized courses in Diving, and management. Should hold AIR/SAT diving supervisory ticket.
Very good working knowledge of English is essential both written and spoken. It is essential to have good computer knowledge.
Minimum 15 years experience in Oil and Gas operations including at least 5 years diving operations and 5 years diving management. A good working knowledge of underwater NDT techniques is required. A definite period as a Bell Diving supervisor is required along with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of diving decompression tables and diving working practices including risk assessment as required by the current UK HSE / IMCA regulations

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years international work experience
Minimum 3 years working directly for an Oil & Gas Operator
