The Role:
Resident in Indonesia from January to May 2013, then rotational 4x4 weeks on/off from June to November 2013.

Assist the Company Site Representative to ensure compliance with Company HSE and Quality objectives throughout the life of Project, particularly on the diving operational aspects by showing the leadership and coordination of the diving contractor.
Ensure the compliance of diving contractor with international codes & standards, Local & International regulations.
Ensure that all relevant certification and audits of the diving system(s) are in date and that any close-out actions from those audits have been carried out.
Ensures that all diving team personnel are holding IMCA recognized certificates and that diver’s medical exams and logbooks are up to date.
Ensure that the contractor is correctly applying the approved diving Emergency Response Procedure.
Liaise with Company Site Representative in obtaining Work Permits and ensure the other activities under Offshore Site control (SIMOPS) do not compromise the safety of operations being carried out by the diving contractor.
Support the Project Management Team to optimize offshore campaign duration.
Keep informed the Company Site Representative of all events which may effect the successful completion of the Project objectives.
Ensure technology transfer and training of junior staff of the Project Team.

Responsible for assessing, monitoring and ensuring that all diving related activities, procedures development, all inspection of diving spread, integrity of equipment/personnel, and other related matters, shall be performed in compliance with HSE and Quality objectives, Project Technical Specification/requirement and overall Project schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor or equivalent degree in marine.
Typically 20 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry with a minimum of 5 years in diving operational roles on board of diving support vessel.
Having sufficient knowledge and awareness in diving operations. This basic competence must be gained by attending a formal recognized training course in Diving Regulations and Safety. The validity of this training is five years.
Familiar with diving techniques such e.g. Surface Supplied Mixed Gas (HELIOX & TRIMIX) diving, TUP and Saturation diving.
He is preferably an Air or Bell IMCA diving supervisor with at least the same level of experience as the diving supervisor appointed by the contractor.
Fluent spoken and written in English.
