The Company:
Our client, a large engineering services company, is seeking a Document Control Clerk for a one year long position in West Houston.

The Role:
Responsibilities:

Vendor Drawings
• Expedite and enter VDR info into COFE Database
• Work with Engineering to determine who will be responsible for reviewing vendor documents for each package
• Receive and/or expedite vendor drawings submitted for approval by vendors as indicated in VDR.
• Input and process all vendor documents submitted by vendors
• Return documents to Vendor with proper disposition
• Manage and maintain electronic and hard copies of all documents
• Notify responsible party if problems are encountered

Vendor Data/Vendor Data Books
• Receive and/or expedite final vendor data from vendors
• Verify that documents received are complete/correct based on equipment requirements
• Create and maintain index of all documents
• Manage and maintain electronic and hard copies of all documents
• Assemble electronic and hard copies of data books for distribution to Operations and partners
• Support Project staff locating vendor information for current and/or previous projects as needed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
1 - 3 years of Document Control experience.
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have general knowledge of construction, equipment, equipment tagging, and industry terminology. Must be a self-starter capable or working independently on multiple projects concurrently.
