The Company:
Our client is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies. In Canada, it has independent, indirect upstream and downstream subsidiaries. Our client (Upstream) explores for, develops, produces and markets crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Their Downstream division refines, markets and distributes fuels and other energy products.

The Role:
The candidate will be required to assist the Document Management Services team, and Project team, in managing drawings and documents, focusing on project expectations and needs, utilizing quality assurance according to Document Management requirements.

Duties include:
These are important because the responsibilities of the Document Controller will be to:
-Train other DC'ers: kicks offs, standards.
-ability to delegate and know when they have to.
-business analysis
-quality checks
-conflict resolution
-know what the purpose of the document control at the time

•Ensure codes and standards (both legislated and customer-specific) are being met.
•Adhere to and understand the Company Health Safety and Environmental Manual.
•Follow and understand the Company policies and procedures.
•Manage all Drawings & Documents for project.
•Drawing/Document Schedule, Drawing/Document Circulation through to Close Out.
•Support Document Management, and Project teams throughout projects lifecycle.
•Follow and understand Client's policies, standards and procedures.
•Other project related duties as required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
-8+ years of Drawing Control experience working with operating facilities in owner organizations.
-A thorough knowledge of engineering drawing and records management practices & procedures, as well as electronic Drawing/Document Management Systems.
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively: written, spoken, and interpersonal.
-Ability to organize and plan: computer literacy, time management, project planning and project deliverables.
-Ability to multitask, in both capacities of handling multiple jobs/projects, and be able to carry out multiple tasks and scalability within each project.
-Must be a self starter, motivated and detail oriented.
-Must be growth orientated.
-Positive team player.
