The Role:
Gather business requirements for the management and access of project team generated documents. Utilize existing procedures, processes, and work instructions to provide a high level of automation and access to information with minimum complexity. • Ensure Document Control applications adequately support the sharing, workflow, security, accuracy and completeness of project team documents. • Coordinate and lead all Houston Based Document Control associated issues within the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS). • Lead a Houston team of document controllers, senior document control staff, IM Analysts & IM Expeditors. • Breadth, depth and complexity of knowledge and competencies would cover a broad range of varied activities or application in a wider variety of contexts most of which are complex and non-routine. • Prepare user documentation and training on processes and applications that are implemented to manage PMT documents. • Function as a single point of contact between the project team and Contractor(s) Document Control discipline for Houston • Interface with IM Coordinator in Perth, and Contractor organization to clarify requirements, identify issues, and fully support the handover of project documents and engineering data to ABU FE. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the project team by seeking to understand their needs, properly setting expectations, and consistently meeting commitments • Represent Document Management functional area in local meetings and discussions. • Interface with Houston Business Team Lead and Project Team to identify process improvements. Report all updates to Houston Business Team Lead. • Receives direction regarding IM/DC Process, System updates, and Transition Activities from IM Coordinator in Perth and ensures it is distributed to Houston team and enforced. • Proactively communicate key learning’s and best practices to the Project document Mgmt. group. • Ensure compliance with IM published policies, guidelines, and standards. • Ensure compliance with all Certifying Authorities, and local Governmental Regulatory Institutions. • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment Policies. • Leadership and guidance are involved when organizing activities of self and others as well as contributing to technical solutions of a non-routine or contingency nature.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 + years experience as a Document Controller, include 5+ years related to experience in relevant industry.
Minimum 3 years supervising document control staff preferably within a major capital project
Knowledgeable experience with LiveLink
Superior computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic documentation systems (e.g. Windchill) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP/Great Plains)
Knowledge of SharePoint
onshore or Permian Basin experience a huge plus
