The Company:
Our client are a international professional services organisation that provides a range of project delivery services for major programmes within the Oil and Gas, Electricity, Power Generation, Air and Maritime, Nuclear and Defence markets

The Role:
The Document Control Manager is a leadership position providing additional and extended document control, and being responsible for the operational management of the document control project team.

•Take the lead for document control activity on projects ensuring the appropriate project standards are adhered to, and procedures are applied
•Manage the document control team to ensure an efficient service is provided and resource is allocated appropriately
•Coach, guide and generally support and develop document control staff, building morale and personal esteem and generally encouraging teams to give their best performance
•Organise document controllers to ensure that all procedures are as efficient as possible and sufficiently flexible to react to changes in the Project
•Advise project managers on document control issues representing document controllers’ views at meetings/discussions where appropriate
•Support the project manager in identifying problems/shortfalls in the document management system
•Ensure that documents from external contract/supplier systems are regularly and accurately imported
•Maintain computer based document control systems to track, review, update, issue and archive project documents
•Promote Group culture and values
•Create a culture of continuous improvement
•Coordination with Document Control Lead on matters relation to individuals’ career development, company approvals, competence and capability assessments, staffing issues and resource requirements
