The Role:
The role of the Document Control/Technical Assistant (Archive) is to assist in the maintenance and control of Project / Department documentation in accordance with Subsea 7's BMS processes under the guidance of the Document Control Manager or Nominated Mentor.
•To maintain and support, to ensure that the administration and archiving are kept in date and relevant using company EDMS or any other appropriate system
•Delivery and collection of archive data, in a timely, safe and efficient manner befitting of company records
•Operation of archive equipment and observation of safety requirements, reporting any defects or concerns to the relevant persons
•To be an assistant to the Document Control Team or to a nominated Document Controller
•To assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive Document Control System as required to fulfil the requirements of any specific project, ensuring:
•That all documentation complies with company procedures and templates, is numbered, controlled, filed and distributed correctly,
•The monitoring and reporting of document status by the use of the available reporting tools,
•The collation of hard copy manuals; As-builts and Data Sheets.
•The participation in internal audits as directed by the Document Controller
•The assistance in mobilisations
•Any other Adhoc requirements including cover for Document Controllers where competent to do so
•Any other delegated responsibilities/tasks as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A good general education is essential
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframe
Flexibility to changing work demands
Previous experince within an Administrative/Secretarial role is essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Competent in the use of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel is essential
SAP Knowledge
Archiving experience would be desirable
Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
