The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
As the Document Control Lead you will provide document control support to Project Team.

Responsibilities as the Document Control Lead include:
• Perform Document Control activities for the Project Team including documentation receipt, registration, distribution and transmittal back to Contractor.
• Ensure assigned Contractor and Supplier documentation deliverables meet contract requirements and perform quality checks for compliance.
• Quality checks shall include, correct document number, revision, title, etc. as per Document Control governing specifications.
• Check to ensure the Master Document Register, Supplier Master Document Register and Document Distribution Matrix requirements are being implemented.
• Communicate effectively with appropriate staff on the status of documentation.
• Ensure timely and efficient turnaround of comment response sheets to Contractors.
• Responsible for assigning/verifying technical document numbers for the Project as per Project specifications.
• Generates reports, including the formatting and packaging of results.
• Complies with the Information Management Plan and associated information management procedures.
• Responsible for organizing, filing and archiving of Project technical documentation; hard copy files and electronic file in Project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Monitor Administrative staff in handling non-technical documentation and filing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous related experience in Document Control activities preferably within an Oil and Gas Industry project team environment.
• High Proficiency in Document Control IT tools, databases and administrative processes with the ability to learn new systems and programs quickly.
• Possess strong work ethics and is detailed oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to interact with all levels of the Project Team organization.
• 3+ years industry working experience in areas of technical document management and administrative support, including working experience with EDMS/IT systems and tools.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Technical school diploma/certificate is desirable with preference for IT, Information Management, technical or engineering disciplines.
