The Role:
This is a Gladstone residential based role.

As the Document Controller you will provide document control support and coordination, and information management for the LNG Plant & Port Project Team based Curtis Island, Gladstone, Queensland. The project is in construction phase, as such the standard work week to include travel from Gladstone main land to/from Curtis Island is expected to be minimum 50 hours per week, with flexibility if required for an occasional Saturday. Compensation is quite competitive.

Responsibilities:
• Register and maintain project documents in the approved Web Based Document Control system;
• Perform all document control activities for the LNG Plant Project including registration, superseding and revision control, allocation of numbers, tracking, filing, retrieval, scanning, photocopying, disposal and transmission of engineering documentation;
• Ensure that the Document Control Procedure requirements are complied with;
• Maintain facilities and databases to ensure efficient operation of the Document Control Function;
• Maintenance of a paper based “wet ink” project approval documents including scanning and electronic backup filing;
• Distribution of project documents to project team for review and comment;
• Assist the team of Document Controllers for the Downstream section of the project when required;
• Assist with training LNG Plant Project team users in using the approved Document Control system, and in handling of internally and externally generated documentation in accordance with the overall Information Management and Document Control procedures;
• Recording, retrieving and filing of supplier literature;
• Registration, filing and distribution of technical manuals and documentation;
• Assistance of archiving of company records when required;
• Create reports when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years comparable document control experience.
• Certificate in Business Administration (or similar).
• Prior experience with Document Control Management Systems.
• Proven experience in working on multi $billion construction project
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft business applications – intermediate to high level skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
