The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world’s most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand.

The Role:
• Be the focal point for Document control for the Facilities Engineering department (and its main engineering contractor).

• Ensure the closeout of the legacy engineering documents; as well as work collaboratively with the FE group (and its main contractor) to close out the documentation for current engineering projects.

• Establish an innovative Facilities Engineering Information Management strategy.

• This includes vision, mission and guiding principles for the lifecycle management of CUE FE information assets and knowledge (Phase 5 Assets).

• Develop and implement of a strategic approach that support the aims of the company’s Facilities Engineering and IM Functions, whilst aligning with CUE business objectives.

• Execute the strategy by incorporation into the FE Framework and CUE IM strategic delivery programs.

• Provide an efficient, cost effective and coordinated Facilities Engineering Information Management (FE IM )support service to CUE Operational Assets and Capital Projects.

• Development, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of Operations Information Management processes and supporting business controls (policies, standards and procedures etc…).

• The position owner should have upstream oil and gas experience, combined with a broad knowledge of the Information Management domain and the cross business Information Management needs of an Exploration and Production company by both Client (Operator) and Contractor (External Service Provider) organisations; associated business processes, information products, media types and an appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of Information Management technologies and processes.

• In order to identify potential issues, challenges and take appropriate mitigation measures, an understanding of Facilities engineering design principles, Facility Operations (inc. plant change) is desirable. Some understanding of Capital Project (especially from Commissioning and Handover to Operation) environments is desirable. Therefore, demonstrated understanding of unique complexities associated with managing the information collections relating following domains is required: Capital Projects, Facilities Engineering Management of Change (inc concurrent engineering processes & tools), Production Operations and Maintenance Management.

• The position owner requires strong planning and project management skills together with a results driven approach to FE Information Management and the ability to communicate with all Stakeholders. The position owner will also be expected to proactively manage all aspects of CUE Engineering IM support service to ensure that operating and service level agreements are resourced and met in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in an Information Science or Engineering related discipline preferred.

• Experience with developing and implementing Facilities Engineering IM business controls, processes and tools to support Operational and Project requirements (Brown and Green field activities).

• Experience in MOC Processes.

• Experience of working with External Service Contractors.

• Excellent communications and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated capacity to learn new skills and integrate new knowledge into existing work activities.

• Methodical and practical approach to issue prevention, problem solving and an ability to work under the pressure.

• Strong customer focus.
