The Role:
The Document Controller is responsible for:

Providing document control services for the Jacket Construction Site and shall ensure that all personnel are made aware of and implement the requirements of the document control procedures.
Ensuring documents are registered in the document control system, distributed promptly and then filed both hard copy and electronically.

Duties include:

To set up and maintain document management system for receiving, distribution and filing documentation.
Load Contractor MDR and planned dates onto Assai.
Allocate document/drawing numbers and advise originator.
Set up distribution requirements.
Register the receipt of documents from both internal and external sources.
Transmit documents to external and internal parties for review and information.
Production and issue of document status reports.
Ensuring that all project team members are aware of and adhere to the requirements of Project document control procedure.
Responsible for providing a single document control point of contact for each individual project.
Ensure that all issued project deliverables are correct in accordance with document control procedures.
Project deliverables filing & retention – hard copy and electronic originals.
Assisting the site team with queries on documentation requirements and submissions.
Loading of non-critical project documentation onto Cimage.
Hand-over of Critical – Maintained documentation to client Document Controller.
Archive project documentation at the end of the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Sound secondary education
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of computerised document management systems
Knowledge of Assai documents management systems preferred but not essential
Experience of working on Construction Sites

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate Profile:

Have a track record of involvement in projects at a similar phase of maturity, size and complexity.
Suitably experienced and qualified in a relevant discipline
The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with fabrication and construction practices of major oil companies.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and work with other team members to meet project milestones
Able to work in surrounding of a major construction site and associated health, safety and environmental practice
Good communicator with good interpersonal and team skills.
Good time and task management.
Professional attitude, highly motivated, self reliant and confident.
Willingness to share knowledge.
Needs to be able to work flexible practices in order to ensure team deliverables are achieved.
