The Company:
a major oil and gas operator is seeking a Document Controller to join a major project.

The Role:
• Take direction from skilled document control personnel to enhance skill set within Project Document Control team as well as other Document Control team
• Process all Project official documentation (includes engineering/technical, correspondence, project management - commercial, legal) generated by COMPANY and CONTRACTOR to be stored in the Document Management System.
• Process transmittal of information between COMPANY and CONTRACTOR.
• Record Project documentation
• Work with other Project Document Controllers across continents . Liaise with customers as required. Coordinate the asset teams on Interface document flow. Checking/validation/verification of all documentation, including correct numbering, revisions, status, format, title and legibility. Issue of standard and ad hoc reports and registers
• This position requires good computing skills and a high degree of customer service.
• Compilate complete document(s) from multiple sources
• Preparation of table of contents and reference lists
• Generate and organise transmittal letters
• Formatting of figures, tables, headings, captions, cross references, etc.
• Ensure the Project Editorial Style Guide is adhered to (training provided)
• Troubleshoot MS Word and other common IT issues (as needed)
• Rigorously apply and uphold version control
• Work within tight schedules
• Organise and manage electronic files/documents (via eRoom)
• Interpretation and incorporation of reviewer comments (using Tracked Changes and Squad Sheets)
• Management of reviewer comments as they apply to document revisions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in vendor data is preferred; Candidate selected will be required to work a 9/80 schedule while going through training period, however, there is a chance that he/she will need to work a different work schedule after being trained. The possible work schedule will be: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the office and 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm work from home. Whether that work schedule will be required is still being reviewed by management.
