The Role:
Accountabilities and End Results:

The Document Controller position is responsible for

• Population and maintenance of corporate information management systems, Livelink+ and SharePoint.
• Distribution of all Technical and Supplier documentation both internal and external as per document matrices all documentation issued under cover of transmittal.

Primary Functions:

• Utilise the Companys Livelink+ EDMS for the numbering, distribution and storage of project documentation.
• Population of the SharePoint site; e-mail, minutes of meeting, shared documents, reports, etc.
• Ensure the timely turnover of project documents and drawings (Design and Supplier documentation)
• Search and retrieval of information in support of company project personnel.
• Creation and ownership of project document registers.
• Interface with Contractor Document Control, receipting documentation, advising document numbers.
• Provision of Document Control holiday / sickness cover across Aberdeen based projects.
• Liaising with the Project Team on a day-to-day basis controlling the document IDC process
• Photocopying and printing of documents as required
• Collation of all Project records, both electronic and hard copy, in preparation for Project handover and archiving
• Performing additional duties within own experience and capabilities as advised by UKCP DRM Lead.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• In depth understanding of specialist reprographics services & standards and graphics / technical documentation production.
• Good understanding of computing environments, applications, relational databases, communications, web services and document management systems.
• Good understanding of Operations and Engineering processes.
• Competent in knowledge and use of IM systems including SharePoint \ Livelink+, EDW, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communications, networking and interpersonal skills, planning and organisational competency.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven document control experience within the North Sea Capital projects and Operations working environment.
• Good knowledge of key capital project processes.
• Enthusiastic with a questioning and challenging attitude.
• Ability to work with and for multiple customers.
• Effective communicator - good presentation and interpersonal
