The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To provide document control support to projects in the Engineering field

Key duties include but are not limited to:
Maintaining document registers (entry of document details into databases)
Checking drawings and documents for correct details, correcting where necessary
Issuing documents to clients (by email or web) through the document transmittal system
Receiving returns from clients, checking these into the document system, and issuing to the appropriate engineer/discipline
Tracking documents and returns that are overdue, expediting if necessary
Receiving, checking-in and logging design documents from clients
Interfacing with the client's document control function (may occasionally require visits to client's offices)
Miscellaneous administrative tasks

* Capable of building good working relationships within teams and with individuals
* Able to work in a team or work through allotted tasks unsupervised
* Meticulous and thorough but capable of meeting work demands

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience of document control within an engineering organisation
Must be PC literate with proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, (Acrobat and Visio preferred)
