The Company:
Our client is a global, diversified, upstream oil and gas company, headquartered in Canada with three main operating areas are North America, the North Sea and Southeast Asia.

The Role:
The Document Controller is responsible for providing document control services to an offshore project. Shall ensure that all personnel are made aware of and implement the requirements of the document control procedures and processes and shall ensure that all correctly submitted documents are registered in the document control system, distributed promptly on transmittals and then filed both hard copy and electronically. Liaise with the Topsides Detailed Design Contractor and Fabrication Contracts to ensure that Company requirements are met and maintained. Ability to work with minimal supervision, on the Topsides and Jacket workscopes of the Project.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

To work in accordance with company’s project department management system and Project Procedures.
Ensure the work and control of project documentation is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
Report periodically progress status to the line and function reporting lines.
Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
Responsible for receipt, registration and distribution of project documentation, using ASSAI.
Managing the allocation of document / drawing numbers to contractors in accordance with procedures.
Managing the review and approval process of the documents produced using ASSAI.
Transmit documents to internal/external parties for review and information.
Transmit the comments on documents back to originators.
Set up and maintain distribution requirements.
Creating, tracking and returning Internal transmittals (IDCs) with or without comments.
Ensure that all issued Project Deliverables are correct in accordance with document control procedures.
Load Contractor MDR and Planned dates onto Assai.
Producing reports for each contractor/supplier as required.
Updating Cimage database as required by creating and amending records.
Use Cimage to search for, retrieve and supplying information as requested for the smooth and timely completion of projects.
Hand-over of Critical – Maintained documentation to Company Engineering Document Controller.
Assisting the Project (Greenfield)personnel with queries on documentation requirements and submissions.
At Project completion manage the closing-out, scanning and archiving project documentation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry within DCC roles preferably with experience on major projects.
Experience working with Cimage and Assai DCMS.

Ability to work with minimum supervision with strong communication skills.
